Stacey Chastain, Birth-K Director
Stacey has been a member of Community since 1997 and joined the staff in May 2008. As the Birth through Kindergarten director, she coordinates and maintains the Sunday morning nursery/preschool ministry. Her desire is to serve beside parents and other volunteers to lead children in spiritual transformation. She attained her BSE from the University of Arkansas in 1992 and then worked at ABF Freight System, Inc. for 5 years before becoming a homemaker. Stacey has been married to Darren for 17 years and is the mother of Garrett, Caroline and Ben.

Mike Crain, Pastor to Van Buren
Mike joined Community in 2006 as an intern and has seen his ministry role expand since then. A transplant from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, Mike has experience working with various ministries including Kanakuk Kamps and K-Life. He attended Abilene Christian University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Youth and Family Ministry. Mike is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Bethel Seminary. Mike and his wife Ashley were married in March 2010.

Julie Deckelman, C-123 Director
Julie joined the staff of Community in June 2008 as director of 1-3 grades. A lifelong resident of Fort Smith, she graduated from Southside in 1989 and later returned to college as an adult, graduating in 2008 from Northwest Arkansas Community College with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. Children’s ministry has been a passion for Julie since high school and she is blessed to have the opportunity to serve the families and children at Community.
Julie and her husband, Steve, have been blessed with two amazing children, Lauren Ashley, born in October 1993 and Austin Luke, who joined the family just eleven months later in September 1994.

Jackie Flake, Pastor
Jackie, a native of Fort Smith, has served in various ministry settings ranging from collegiate ministries to pastoral ministries – including Pastor of Discipleship and Church Planting Pastor – in both Arkansas and Connecticut. After graduating from the Fort Smith Public School system, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science from Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas and then his Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. Jackie and his bride Cedra have been married since 1989. He is also the father of four daughters; Kessia, Jayde, Joi, and Jania.

Goose Gossett, C-456 Director

Dustin “Goose” Gossett joined the staff in June 2010. He grew up in St. Joseph, MO and attended college Truman State University in Kirksville, MO where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Business Marketing. After college he went to the Kanakuk Institute in Branson, MO and graduated with training in biblical studies. He has continued his education at John Brown University where he completed his masters in youth and family ministry in the spring of 2007. Dustin is a former college baseball/football player, avid fisherman and hunter, and has worked for Kanakuk Kamps and K-Life Ministries in Ozark, AR before moving to Fort Smith. He and his wife, Sheila, have a son, Grayson, who was born in April 2011.
Mark Kincannon, Executive Pastor

Mark joined the staff in 2005 as the Small Group Pastor and in 2008 he took the role of overseeing the Multi-Site Ministry of Community Bible Church. He is currently Executive Pastor, charged with executing the vision of Community Bible.
A former college baseball player and high school baseball coach, Mark is currently coach at The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith as Assistant Baseball Coach. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned his Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Mark has been married to Michelle since 2000. He is also the father of three children, Mason born in 2005, Maddax born in 2007 and Mackenzie born in 2008.

Michelle Kincannon, Administrator
Michelle currently shares this role with Susan Kincannon (no relation) as they oversee all accounting, payroll, contributions, payables, human resources, the physical plant, and day-to-day operations of the church office. While completing her Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Arkansas, she was also a Razorback Cheerleader, a member of Arkansas Athletes Outreach, and involved in the college ministry of University Baptist Church.
Michelle is married to Mark and is the mother of their three children, Mason born in 2005, Maddax born in 2007 and Mackenzie born in 2008.

Susan Kincannon, Administrator
After a brief hiatus from Community’s staff, Susan returned in 2006 to share the role of church administrator. Susan works with Michelle Kincannon to oversee all accounting, payroll, contributions, payables, human resources, the physical plant, and day-to-day operations of the church office.
Born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, she holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. She and her husband, Bart, who is a Fort Smith native, keep very busy raising their three children, Jack, Beth, and Joseph.

Shelton Markham, Student Pastor
Shelton Markham will join the Community Bible staff on September 5, 2011. Shelton was born and raised Crockett, Texas and received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Baylor University in 2005. He went on to receive a Master of Theological Studies from George W. Truett Theological Seminary in Waco in 2010. Shelton and his wife, Amy, have been married for six years and have two children, Mason James, born on December 18, 2007 and Elizabeth “Ellie” Lee, born on April 18, 2011.

William McCormack, Building and Grounds Supervisor
William joined the staff in 2006 and serves Community as building and grounds supervisor. Before coming to Community, he worked for ten years as a commercial and residential construction supervisor for Griffin Construction. After graduating from Southside High School in 1986, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in New Jersey where he lived for 10 years. He moved back to Fort Smith in 1996 where he now makes his home with his wife, Christie and his oldest son, Chase and youngest son, Evan.

Frankie Post, Pastor to Greenwood
Frankie joined Community in 2009 to help our pastoral staff launch the Greenwood campus. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from The College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, and his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Frankie’s passion is teaching the Word, and he feels honored that God has brought him back to Greenwood to reach people with the love of Christ.
He and his wife, Susanna, have a son, Hayden Wesley, who was born on November 16, 2007, and they are expecting a second child in March 2010.

Ed Saucier, Founding Pastor

In his role as Founding Pastor, Ed is primarily concerned with providing pastoral ministry for the staff and community of believers at Community Bible. As a teaching pastor Ed’s role is two-fold, first as a teacher for the congregation, and second as a mentor to the younger members of our teaching/preaching team. He received his baccalaureate degree in Christian Theology in 1977 from Oklahoma Baptist University, a Master of Theology degree in 1981 and the Doctor of Ministry degree in 1983, both from International Bible Institute and Seminary. Shara, Ed’s wife, is a counselor in private practice. Their daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Grant Glover, are both very involved in the life of Community, and are the proud parents of Shara and Ed’s three beautiful grandchildren, Lily, Jake, and Maddox.

Kevin Thompson, Lead Pastor

Kevin came to Community Bible in 2002, first as Executive Pastor, and currently as Lead Pastor. Kevin is charged with the overall health of the church as well as crafting and communicating the vision and leading the preaching ministry of Community Bible.
Kevin is a native of Fort Smith; he has a Master of Divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School of Samford University as well as a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Oklahoma Baptist University.
Kevin’s wife Jenny is a Media Buyer with Williams/Crawford & Associates. They have one daughter and one son, Ella Katherine was born in 2005 and Silas was born in 2008.

Donnie Todd, Worship Pastor
Having been on board since 2003, Donnie brings with him a steadfastness to follow after Christ no matter life’s circumstances. He is passionate about mentorship and the discipling process and challenges people to understand that being a Christ follower is a purposed way of living life.
Donnie has lived all over the word, but is no stranger to Fort Smith. His wife, Rachel, is a native to this area. Donnie and Rachel have a daughter, Liv, who was born in July, 2004 a son, Pierce, born in May 2007, and another son, Shepherd, born in May 2009.
Having already received his baccalaureate degree in Pastoral Ministry from Oklahoma Baptist University, and is a few hours shy of finishing his Master of Divinity degree in Christian Thought from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Kerry Ward, Graphic Designer
Kerry joined the staff in June 2007 and serves on Community’s creative team as a graphic designer. Before coming to Community, she worked for eight years as a graphics specialist in the Marketing Department at ABF Freight System, Inc. A native of Greenwood, she has a bachelor degree in Journalism from Arkansas Tech University. Kerry’s husband, Jarrad, is an insurance agent with American National Property and Casualty. They have three children, Brett James, born in December 2001, Jenna Marie, born in March 2005 and Hannah Claire, born in September 2009.

Matt Whitson, Executive Pastor

Matt is a Fort Smith native who has worked with children and students since 1991. He has a passionate desire to reach others in a creative, God-given way. Matt originally joined the Community Bible Church staff as the Pastor to Children and Students and he has continued to oversee those ministries since 2002. He is currently Executive Pastor, charged with executing the vision of Community Bible Church.
Matt and his wife, Becca, were married in 1998. They have two sons, William Matthew, born in 2004, and Cy Jones, born in 2007. His hobbies include spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and watching sports.
