L.O.V.E. Network

The L.O.V.E. Network, an outreach program of Community Bible Church, is involved in giving to people that are in need as well as several annual projects that reach out to people in our community. Our primary purpose is to demonstrate God’s love unconditionally. In helping others, our hope is to achieve our secondary purpose, which consists of drawing others to Christ through our actions. Our focus is on meeting immediate physical needs, such as food and clothing, and also spiritual needs.

  • Back Pack Kids program — This is an ongoing ministry through the Fort Smith Clearing House to provide nutrional snacks to school age children in need.
  • Back-to-school Giveaway program — We give school cloths, school supplies and hair-cuts to elementary school children in need.
  • Angel Tree Party & Gifts — This is held in conjunction with the National Prison Fellowship Ministry. We provide Christmas gifts to children in our community who have a parent in prison. We host a Christmas dinner party for these children and their families.
  • Food Drives — These are held on an as-needed basis to stock our food pantry in order to assist those in need in our community.
  • Various Building Projects — These projects may include working with Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for deserving families in our community.
  • Fall Festival

Current & Needs

Special Fund for Mike Hahn — A special fund has been set up for Mike Hahn who was shot recently and is now paralyzed. If you would like to make a donation to the fund, you may either put it in the offering basket (write Hahn on the “notes” line) or drop it by any Bancorp South location. For more information, call Mark Kincannon or e-mail mark@communitychurch.com.

Help A Family In Need — We’re helping a family who is in need of baby furniture and other baby items. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Jim Kolp at 651-5884.

Handy Around The House? — The Love Network is in the process of organizing a list of names of handy men and women who would be willing to help elderly people, single moms, etc... with household repairs on a rotating basis. From leaky faucets to leaky roofs, all skill levels are needed. Write HANDY on the worship tab with your name and number.

Comfort Food — Community’s Comfort Food Ministry is in need of volunteers to take meals to new parents, people who are sick and those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Volunteers will normally be called on once a month or once every-other-month and meals may either be homemade or picked up from a restaurant. If you would like to help, write COMFORT on the worship tab. Call Terry McReynolds at 420-9214 or e-mail tlmcreynolds@yahoo.com for more information.
