Ministries

From day one, Community has had a two-pronged approach to ministry—cell and celebration. Every age group is encouraged to participate in both large group and small group settings. The primary model of this philosophy is our emphasis on Community Worship and Community Groups. By joining with hundreds of believers in corporate worship, we can celebrate the goodness of God in a unique way. Then, by breaking into small cell groups, we can dive into the specifics of life, offering support and encouragement to every member. This double focus is foremost in our planning, staffing, and allocation of resources.

We believe that both are equally necessary for a healthy church, and we plan on devoting balance between these two concepts. To engage in one aspect without the other is to live an unbalanced spiritual life. Worship without small group involvement is impersonal and inauthentic. Small group interaction without worship is self-centered and undernourished. Yet a life that encompasses both creates relationships, brings accountability, gains benefit from the knowledge and experience of others, and finds meaning by being involved in something larger than itself.
