Kacee Cline, Children’s Ministry AssistantKacee Cline, Children’s Ministry Assistant

Kacee joined the staff in September 2005. She is assistant to Matt Whitson, the Children’s Pastor. Among other things, she is responsible for co-coordinating the Children’s Ministry on the Van Buren campus and preparing Children’s Ministry curriculum for Sunday mornings on the Fort Smith campus. She is also involved with preparing for Community Kids on Wednesday evenings and helps with various other Children’s activities. Kacee graduated from Ozark High School in 2002. In High School, she was involved in K-Life where she led Bible studies and was a K-Life Girl’s Mentor. After graduating High School, she was on staff at Kanakuk Kamps as a cook. During the summer of 2005, she worked at Aspendale Baptist Camp as a ropes course facilitator and staff leader. She is currently a student at UAFS where she is working towards a Middle Childhood Education degree in Math and Science.


 

Mike Crain, Upper Elementary Pastor/Associate Small Groups PastorMike Crain, Van Buren Campus Pastor

Mike joined Community in 2006 as an intern and has seen his ministry role expand since then. Through meaningful relationships and a passion for Scripture, Mike hopes to help people of all ages grow in their relationship with God. A transplant from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, Mike has experience working with various ministries including Kanakuk Kamps and K-Life. He attended Abilene Christian University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Youth and Family Ministry.

Mark Kincannon, Small Group Pastor / Van Buren Campus PastorMark Kincannon, Small Group Pastor / Van Buren Campus Pastor

Mark joined the staff in 2005 as the Small Group Pastor. He also leads the first satilite campus of Community Bible Church, which is in Van Buren. An avid baseball fan, he currently volunteers for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ft. Smith as a coach of the Ft. Smith Coca-Cola American Legion Baseball team. A former high school baseball coach, Mark graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He also earned his Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Mark is married to Michelle. Mark is also the father of two sons, Mason born October 22, 2005 and Maddax born April 20, 2007.

Michelle Kincannon, Church AdministratorMichelle Kincannon, Church Administrator

Michelle left the Industrial Engineering Department of Whirlpool Corporation in 2004 in order to become Community's Administrator. She currently shares that role with Susan Kincannon (no relation) as they oversee all accounting, payroll, contributions, payables, human resources, the physical plant, and day-to-day operations of the church office. While completing her Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Arkansas, she was also a Razorback Cheerleader, a member of Arkansas Athletes Outreach, and involved in the college ministry of University Baptist Church.

Michelle is married to Mark. As well as sharing the Church Administrator's job she is also the mother of two sons, Mason born October 22, 2005 and Maddax born April 20, 2007.

William McCormack, Building and Grounds SupervisorWilliam McCormack, Building and Grounds Supervisor

William joined the staff in 2006 and serves Community as building and grounds supervisor. Before coming to Community, he worked for ten years as a commercial and residential construction supervisor for Griffin Construction. After graduating from Southside High School in 1986, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in New Jersey where he lived for 10 years. He moved back to Fort Smith in 1996 where he now makes his home with his wife, Christie and his oldest son, Chase and youngest son, Evan. Christie works as a dental assistant for Dr. Angela Wiggins.

Ed Saucier, Senior PastorEd Saucier, Senior Pastor

In his role as Senior Pastor, Ed, the founding pastor of Community Bible Church, is primarily concerned with providing directional leadership for the staff and community of believers at CBC. As a teaching pastor he is fanatical about helping people discover the liberty of connecting with Jesus Christ.

He received his baccalaureate degree in Christian Theology in 1977 from Oklahoma Baptist University, a Master of Theology degree in 1981 and the Doctor of Ministry degree in 1983, both from International Bible Institute and Seminary.

Shara, Ed's wife, is a counselor in private practice. Their daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Grant Glover are both very involved in the life of CBC, and are the proud parents of Shara and Ed's three beautiful grandchildren, Lily, Jake and Maddox.

Kevin Thompson, Executive PastorKevin Thompson, Executive Pastor

Kevin has been Executive Pastor of Community Bible since 2002. Besides being one of our Teaching Pastors, he also serves as the directional leader of worship. A native of Fort Smith, he has a Master of Divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School of Samford University as well as a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Oklahoma Baptist University.

Kevin’s wife Jenny is a Media Buyer with Williams/Crawford & Associates. Their first child, Ella Katherine, was born in 2005.

Donnie Todd, Student PastorDonnie Todd, Worship Pastor

Having been on board since 2003, Donnie brings with him a steadfastness to follow after Christ no matter life's circumstances. He loves connecting with people and desires to see them find purpose and fulfillment in a life of radical obedience and worship.

Donnie is no stranger to Fort Smith. His wife, Rachel, is a native to this area and they are thrilled to be back in the Natural State. Donnie and Rachel have a hilarious daughter, Liv, who was born in July, 2004 and a crazy cool son, Pierce, born in May 2007.

Donnie is an avid mountain biker and can be frequently seen carving the trails across Arkansas. He loves the outdoors and can also be seen playing Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Golf. These two things come in a distant second and third to how much he enjoys spending time with Rachel, Liv and Pierce.

Having already received his baccalaureate degree in Pastoral Ministry from Oklahoma Baptist University, he is currently finishing his Master of Divinity degree in Christian Thought from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Kerry Ward, Administrative AssistantKerry Ward, Administrative Assistant

Kerry joined the staff in June 2007 and serves Community as administrative assistant. Before coming to Community, she worked for eight years as a graphic designer in the Marketing Department at ABF Freight System, Inc. A native of Greenwood, she has a bachelor degree in Journalism from Arkansas Tech University.

Of all the responsibilities as administrative assistant, she especially enjoys the creative ones. Some of her duties include creating the weekly bulletin, designing postcards, newsletters, t-shirts, etc., as well as the music and announcement slides used during corporate worship on Sunday mornings.

Kerry’s husband, Jarrad, is an insurance agent with American National Property and Casualty. They make their home in Charleston with their children, Brett James, born in December 2001, and Jenna Marie, born in March 2005.

Matt Whitson, Children's PastorMatt Whitson, Children's Pastor

Matt is a Fort Smith native who has worked with children and students since 1991. He has a passionate desire to reach others in a creative, God-given way. On staff at Community since 2002, Matt is the minister of children, birth through 6th grade. By building meaningful relationships with children and their families, he hopes to work alongside the parents in helping each child grow closer in his or her relationship with Christ.

Matt and his wife, Becca, were married in 1998. They have two sons, William Matthew, born in 2004, and Cy Jones, born in 2007. Matt’s hobbies include spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and watching sports.
