Student Ministries

7th — 12th Grade

We take a different approach to the 7th-12th grade student ministry. Preferring to integrate our young people within the body of Christ by encouraging initiative and responsibility, we believe our students are the future of the church. We want to give them a place where they feel the belong — even after graduating from high school. Our students participate in traditional youth events like camps, retreats, lock-ins, and bible study, but they are also encouraged to teach our young children, greet guests at our doors, assist other ministries within the church, and participate in organizing and implementing church events. We give them a voice, goals, responsibility — the identity of a viable and vital aspect of Community Bible Church.

Small Groups (or as we call them, D Groups) are the core of our ministry to students. These are gender and grade specific groups that meet every Sunday night and allow the students a smaller setting to be open and honest about the issues they face in their lives. These small groups are designed to give the students a venue to discuss how biblical principles apply to their lives. They also allow the opportunity to walk life with an adult who is committed to mentorship and making disciples. We firmly believe that the Christian life is better traveled when walking next to other people. This is true for students as well.

Our Jr. and Sr. High meet every Sunday night from 6:00pm – 8:00pm for a crazy large group time and meaningful small group breakout time. For more detailed information on specific dates for these meetings, please connect to our Calendar section of the website. Also, please feel free to contact the church office for info. The Truth of God's Word is being served up fresh daily. Go ahead and take a bite. You can't take just one.

It will be a great place to connect with other students your age. Don’t miss it! Community students will not meet on Father’s Day (June 15).

Attention: Parents of Students — To keep you, as parents, better informed about what’s going on with your Jr. & Sr. High School students at Community, we are implementing a student newsletter called Parent Link that we’d like to send you periodically. Interested? Write PARENT along with your name and email address on the worship tab. If you prefer to receive your newsletter by regular mail, write your mailing address instead.
