Winter 2009 Sermon Series: Shout or Silent

Have you ever spoken only to regret ever opening your mouth? Have you ever remained silent only later to wish you had said something? Ecclesiastes 3:7 says there is "a time to keep silence, and a time to speak." If only that verse gave us a description of when those times are. Shout or Silent is an eight week study through the book of Matthew focusing on when to properly speak and when to remain silent.

In this series we will study several controversial topics and will attempt to discover what we can confidently say about these issues and when are appropriate times to remain quite. From racism to abortion to sexual sin, we all struggle with finding the right words to say and the right time to say them. This study will seek such a balance.
